How we handle complaints
- Share your name, mobile number and a short description of the issue.
- We acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
- For personal data requests (access, correction, deletion, withdrawing consent), contact the grievance officer, who is also our contact for questions about your personal data.
- Suspect someone is misusing our name? See Beware of Fraud.
Complaints about a bank or lender
Decisions on approval, interest rates, fees and charges are made by the bank or lender. Raise your complaint with that institution first, through its grievance channel. You can also tell the lender about our conduct if we assisted with your application for its product.
If the lender is a bank or an RBI-registered NBFC covered by the scheme, and it does not reply within 30 days (or any longer period set by RBI, NPCI or card-network rules), or you are not satisfied with its reply, you can complain to the RBI Ombudsman under the Reserve Bank – Integrated Ombudsman Scheme, 2026, within 90 days of that period ending or of the lender's last reply, whichever is later. Housing finance companies are not covered: for a home loan from one, complain to the National Housing Bank at grids.nhbonline.org.in. To reach the RBI Ombudsman:
- Online: cms.rbi.org.in
- Email: crpc@rbi.org.in
- Post: Centralised Receipt and Processing Centre, Reserve Bank of India, Central Vista, Sector 17, Chandigarh 160017
- RBI Contact Centre (toll-free, for help and complaint status only; it cannot register complaints): 14448
